Flachs v. District of Columbia, No. 24-cv-470 (D.C. Ct. App.)

All Rise represents Jeremy Flachs in seeking to vindicate the District’s 2015 ordinance facilitating access to body-worn camera footage from MPD officers. As it stands, for Mr. Flachs and others, the District withholds substantial swaths of footage based on purported privacy interests rejected by the Council that passed the BWC ordinance, and this suit seeks to confirm that such broad redactions do not comply with the law.
